WHY INDUSTRY UNDERSTANDING MATTERS

Creative work can be extraordinary. It can also be uniquely demanding.

Rejection, uncertainty, long days, sensitive material and the overlap between identity and work can all take a toll.

Sometimes it helps to speak to someone who already understands the world you’re describing.

TWO WAYS I CAN HELP

Support for individuals and productions

Actors & performers

Individual counselling for performance anxiety, rejection, identity, burnout, career change and life beyond the industry.

Productions & organisations

Flexible wellbeing support for cast and crew, shaped around the project rather than a generic package.

WHY I DO THIS

I became the therapist I had once been looking for.

During my acting career, I wanted support from someone who understood what it can feel like when your work is personal, rejection is part of the job and a career you care deeply about is also unpredictable.

I struggled to find that person. That experience became part of the reason I trained as a counsellor and psychotherapist.

FOR ACTORS & PERFORMERS

Counselling that understands the realities of a creative career

Rejection & uncertainty

Auditions, gaps in work and repeated rejection.

Performance anxiety

Pressure, nerves and self-doubt around the work.

Identity & self-worth

Separating who you are from career, success or appearance.

Burnout & exhaustion

The physical and emotional cost of demanding schedules.

Career transition

Changing ambitions, leaving the industry or wondering what comes next.

Difficult material

Processing emotionally demanding roles or subject matter.

Relationships & family

When irregular work and travel affect life outside the job.

Life beyond work

Because sometimes what brings you to therapy has nothing to do with the industry.

FOR PRODUCTIONS

Wellbeing support shaped around the project

Different productions need different things. Support might involve confidential one-to-one conversations, on-set wellbeing, work around sensitive material or debriefing after demanding periods.
